Wickerman festival where is it

Comment by Thottbot Ok, come up on the west side of the undercity from lordamere lake. You'll see the burning wickerman long before you get anywhere near aggro radius. So anywho, you run as close to the undercity as the terrain will let you. You'll see a fallen log up ahead. You want to be on the right side of the fallen log. Run up on the right side of the log, and you'll aggro the first guard.

Don't stop! Right before you get to the end of the log, leap over the end and head thru the wickerman's legs. Immediately bang a left, and you should be headed back down the road. You'll have aggroed all the guards, but they won't be able to catch you if you do it right. Comment by Thottbot Spuy has a good idea - come in from the lake and alongside the wall.

At that point I managed to aggro an abomination, who sent me to the Tombstone Tavern with one hit. But XP, 90S and some Halloween candy turns you into a ghost for 15 minutes made it worthwhile. My repair bill was only about 5S. Comment by Thottbot I think this one is easy for pretty much anyone. Run as close to the burning Wickerman as possible. Let them kill you and stand right up against it when you rez. You will complete the quest, die and rez again, then head back to Southshore to turn it in.

The alliance sleeps safer this night. Comment by Allakhazam easy quest for the exp involved. So now what? Is he somewhere else on the map? Will he reappear during the next seasonal event like the Christmas stuff?

Or am i just screwed? Comment by Allakhazam Attainable at level 25 according to other sources. Comment by Allakhazam HA! Did it without dying as a 32 rogue. Come from the lake side S of Undercity. Stealth, slowly sneak up against dirt wall beside Undercity. Watch the elite guard as you move slowly toward the wicker statue. But the fun doesn't stop there. There is also a cinema, fun fair, circus entertainment, grass sledging, mountain biking and array of arts and craft activities for all the family spread across the farm.

With the festival being so remote, be sure to use Wickerman's CarShare system - if you're in need of a lift, or just want to do your bit for the environment. Tickets on sale now Where can I get them? It became bigger and more commercial. Some said it lost a bit of its edge. The audience became less alternative and more mainstream. But it attracted some great names to the Summerisle Stage. There were also some great moments in the Scooter Tent which kept alive Wickerman's punk and ska roots.

The Undertones and Bad Manners spring to mind. I lost count of the times over the years I would survey the site and the main stage acts and think how surreal it was that these musical superstars had come to perform in the corner of a farmer's field overlooking Dundrennan and the Solway Firth. Most of them probably hadn't really a clue where they were! But Wickerman was about more than the big names. Its many venues, and especially the acoustic village, gave a platform for up and coming talent much of it home grown in Dumfries and Galloway.

They will miss that showcase. I was among those who wondered if the festival could possibly take place barely six months after Jamie Gilroy's untimely death, even though tickets had been sold and many of the acts booked.

But Jamie's wife Patsy and their daughter Jennie Camm herself in recovery from breast cancer at the time took it upon themselves to make sure it did and they staged it in Jamie's honour with dignity and pride. I can't really imagine how hard that must have been. After taking a year out in , they had pledged to bring Wickerman back next year and sought a third-party promoter to take it on.

But negotiations broke down and at the weekend Jennie and Patsy took the hard but inevitable decision that the festival must close. It was great while it lasted. It gave a lot of people a lot of fun and superb musical experiences. I will treasure them as I do the hand-written Christmas card I received from Jamie Gilroy in December just a day or so before he died.
